A guide to help you do product research for your group persuasive project.

Combine Business Source Complete and Other EBSCO Databases

SanJac gets many of our databases from a company called EBSCO, which allows you to search more than one database at a time. In order to maximize your results, you may want to search more than one database.

For this project, start out in Business Source Complete. You can find your way to that database by following the directions on the 'Access the Databases' page underneath this tab.

Once in Business Source Complete, click the Choose Databases link located just above the search box:

A window will appear that lists all of the databases SanJac purchases from EBSCO. To find out more about your options, click on the bubble after each database name for a description of the scope and content of the database.

Some of the databases you may want to try are:

  • Regional Business News - this database contains over 80 full-text business news sources from metropolitan and rural areas in the U.S.

  • Vocational and Career Collection - this database contains over 350 "trade and industry-related" periodicals, good sources for information on products and businesses.

Check the boxes for the databases you'd like to search, and then click OK:

Now you're maximizing your search efficiency by searching across many databases at once!
