Open Educational Resources: OER Organizations


Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources - mission is to expand access to education by promoting awareness and adoption of Open Educational Resources (OER).  Over 100 colleges are members of our consortium and many more participate in our activities and use the resources posted here. 

International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) ‚Äčthe International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE) is the leading global membership organization for open, distance, flexible and online education, including e-learning, and draws its membership from institutions, educational authorities, commercial actors, and individuals.

Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) - according to its website, OASPA was created "to support and represent the interests of Open Access (OA) journal and book publishers globally in all scientific, technical, and scholarly disciplines."  To this end, OASPA will exchange information, set standards, educate, and promote innovation.  

Open Course Library - a collection of high quality, free-to-use courses that you can download and use for teaching. All content is stored in Google docs making it easy to access, browse and download. Managed by the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges.
