Boolean Operators

When doing research, you can use different techniques to help you find information more effectively, especially if you want to find information on more that one word or idea (like cell phones and driving).

Using connector words such as ANDOR, and NOT is one search strategy that can help you combine ideas or keywords.  When used in searching online databases, these terms are called Boolean operators.
