Artificial Intelligence (AI): Introduction

The focus of this research guide is the educational applications of generative AI.

In this research guide, you will find information related to artificial intelligence (AI), especially to the subfield known as "generative AI."  Since AI and generative AI are constantly changing, the information in this guide will be updated regularly to ensure it remains accurate, relevant, and reflective of the latest advancements and best practices in the field.

A Definition of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

According to Wikipedia, Artificial Intelligence (commonly referred to as "AI") is the intelligence of machines or software, as opposed to the intelligence of humans or animals. 

It is also the field of study in computer science that develops and studies intelligent machines. 

AI may also refer to the machines themselves.
