Using the library online catalog, you can request a book from one campus library and have it sent to your home library. This process usually takes 2-3 days.
If the book is at your home campus, get the call number and grab the book from the shelf. If you need help, don't hesitate to ask a librarian!
There are two ways to request a book: 1) on the results page
or 2) when you click on the book's title.
You will then be prompted to log in using your name and G number:
Click Submit. Then you can choose which campus you would like the book to go to and the date after which you no longer will need the book:
Hit the Submit button. You will see a message confirming your hold. You will receive an email in your San Jac email when your book is ready for pick up. If you have not heard anything after several days, contact your library to check on the status of the hold.
ILL stands for Interlibrary loan. That means we ask a different library to us the book or article you need so you can check it out. Contact a librarian with this info to request a book through ILL:

Depending on th location of the lending library, we'll receive your item in a week or more. Articles may be sent electronically or by physical mail.
San Jac will never charge you for ILLs. However, some lenders do charge a fee. We will notify you if a lender intends to charge a fee so that you can decide if you want to pay it.
As the borrower, you are responsible for any overdue fees or charges for lost or damaged items.
