Step 2: Setting Up Your Search

Full Text, Peer Reviewed & Date
Keyword & Author Search

Before typing search terms into the boxes:

Find the Limit your results section in the middle of the search page.
The Full Text should be checked already. This will ensure that all articles retrieved will be full-text articles.
Check the box below Peer Reviewed if your professor requires scholarly articles.
Enter the appropriate years below Publication Date.

Click on the Keyword & Author Search tab above to see how you might set up a search.

If you wanted to find all materials--books, articles, or ebooks--about hurricanes in Texas that were written by the author Philip B. Bedient, follow these steps (see image below):

Enter the word hurricanes into the first box;
Enter the word texas into the second box;
Enter bedient, the author's last name, into the third box.
Click Search.
