Step 3: Search Results

The images below provide an example of what appears after clicking on the blue Search button: 

The search terms hurricane(s) and texas appear in both records.  The author's last name, Bedient, also appears in each record. 

To filter results by material type -- articles (Academic Journals), books, etc. -- check the appropriate box under Filter by Material Type on the left side of the page. 

By clicking on an article title, you will see a page similar to this:  

  1. The number of pages is located next to Source, as well as the publication date;
  2. An Abstract summarizes the article; 
  3. A link to the entire article, PDF Full Text, is located in the left margin;  
  4. Tools on the right margin include one called Cite, which provides various citation formats for the article, including APA & MLA. 

Also located in the Tools section (see right margin) are ways to save an article.  Options include Google Drive, Add to folder (see Tool Bar Links tab for details), Print, E-mail, and Save.  Click here for information on how to print an article on campus.
