CQ Researcher (On-Campus Use Only)

In-depth reports on today's issues

Search by Keyword

The image below shows the top portion of the CQ Researcher home page.  To perform a keyword search, type a word into the search box that is located near the top of the home page.  Next, click on the magnifying glass symbol (or press Enter) to get results.

On the results page after you start a keyword search:

  1. The number of search results is located at the top of the page.
  2. You can arrange results (reports) with the most recent on top by clicking there.
  3. The most recent report is located on top of the results.  The publication date is right below the title.

To narrow your search results by topic, follow steps 1-3 (as shown in the graphic below):

  1. In the Quick filters column to the left, click on the Topics section.  A list of topics will appear.
  2. Check a box next to any topic.
  3. Click on the Apply Filter button below to limit results by your topic.

By following these steps, only those search results related to your chosen topic will appear.

Click on an article title to read the report. 

Steps 1-3 (as shown in the graphic below) reveal some useful tools:

  1. Navigation links for various sections of the report are in the On this page box.
  2. Click on the Cite button to cite the report.  Formats include APA, Chicago, and MLA.
  3. Click on the Download PDF button to download (and print) the report.
